Documenting the McCullough Peaks Herd
The McCullough Peaks wild horses are more than anonymous animals on a distant landscape. Over years of photographing the herd, I’ve come to recognize individual stallions, mares, foals and family bands, each with their own history, relationships and place within the herd.
Through photography and storytelling, this project shares both the dramatic moments and the quiet encounters that often go unnoticed. Prints, calendars and future collections help support the time and travel required to continue documenting these horses.
